I am a hoarder of memories and experiences from working in retail over the last 20+ years. I have learned a lot about myself as a person, a boss and a leader. I want to share those memories and experiences with you. Retail life is changing. The understanding of your customer and your team are the only things you can control. Managing needs a purpose other than the bottom line. I started this blog because I got tired of people losing faith in people. My entire career has been about building strong teams, out of box thinking and understanding what my business needed to be successful. I am a believer and a developer. I am not perfect. I’m opinionated, stubborn and I challenge anyone that has potential whether they like it or not. I never cared to be loved or popular, but I cared about being respected. I ruffled a lot of feathers throughout my career and lost some great friendships along the way, but never lost sight of the goals ahead...to make my employees and business stronger, more self-aware, more fulfilling and operationally ready for whatever comes next.
